Day3: Neophyte Shot

I concur with Stalin's observation that it was a hot day. Very hot.

I selected my first shot in honor of Mrs. Neophyte. The Flat Iron is one of her favorite New York City buildings. Little did we know we have our own version right here in Fort Worth. I'm not sure she believes me still. Oh, and also in honor of the filename (see exif data). She hoped to deliver our first born on June 6 this year.

One reason I chose the second shot is that I like the fact it reflects lunch time.

Clock age - this could mean clock is 80 years old..but you may want to read for yourself - there is a history there (as well as a nighttime photography of the bldg and clock).

Overexposure on the flat iron building, but you could probably reduce the exposure post-click. Another good subject for auto-exposure bracketing, I'd keep them a whole stop apart. Is that purple fringing I see on the edge of the black stone?

Very nice clock picture. Lots of sharp detail and nice depth of field too.
