Day5: Neophyte Shot

I chose this one because I like what the setting of the surrounding buildings lends to it. Puts a little perspective to the size of the angels. Also, the other photos were just bad (er, even worse). I don't really care for the majority of shots I've done involving the larger buildings. I need to read something on those types of subjects before we go to our next one.
Oh well, even with the heat it was a decent outing. live and learn!

Very nice! One thing particularly good about taking a shot from high up is that you can keep the plane of your CCD parallel to the buildings and all but eliminate the tapering you get when you shoot a building from the street.

Another great location is Kriswell College in Dallas - if you sneak up on the rooftop, you are surrounded by the beautiful buildings that make the dallas skyline.

If you do a really late lunch shoot, say around sunset, the orange glow lights up the tall buildings around you. It's worth doing, even though it's more of a Dinner in Dahluss than a Lunch in Foat Wuth thing.
